A viewer reminded me of this funny video that I had featured on my old website. Right as his email came in, I was popping popcorn at that very moment. hahaha What a coincidence that he caught me during my popcorn kick! It’s no secret that I’m addicted to it, and can eat an entire bag of microwave popcorn. I get the Smart Balance (Light) kind so that I don’t feel so bad and full of grease afterwards. Sometimes that popcorn craving comes along, and there is no other snack that can satisfy. If I’m not careful, I could end up like this guy!

(For those that are looking for Soap Opera #1, you will find it within the video “Instant video blogging”.) In that video, you are introduced to Claire and Audrey for the first time. :-)

The saga continues….
Claire returns after the Christmas party is over to surprise Audrey with some dreadful news. How fun this was to edit!!! (spoiler warning) To be able to control rain and put it wherever you want is LOADS of fun. Also, what’s nice about these online videos is they can be ever evolving and improving as the audience provides feedback. As many pointed out in “Soap Opera #2” – my camera angles were wrong! Had I known what I was doing wrong – I perhaps wouldn’t have posted it like that, but then again it’s given me something for the characters to correct themselves in this episode. Same goes for my attempted British accent! Hahaha I suppose that is one of the qualities that people appreciate in this new media - that everything is not perfect in HappySlip land! :-) With that comes the freedom to do whatever you want to do! Ok, so I was freezing in those outdoor shots, so I had to go and put some long johns on. Happy long johns. If you happened to notice the buzzing in the background – that would be my iMac that I forgot was on. I do all my work on my Powerbook, but my mom was checking her email on the iMac and I forgot it was on. Speaking of my mom, I borrowed her for the shot by the water. She had to walk backwards as I walked towards her. She was nervous to walk backwards. I waited for some people to pass by so they wouldn’t get freaked out by my odd behavior. Couldn’t avoid some onlookers in the subway train, but thankfully I didn’t write any lines requiring screaming. I tried to say those words you hear at the end, but the subway noises were drowning me out. So I did another take, this time just contemplating the words.
Insert voiceover. :-)

Christmas is over? Poor Audrey…

Looking for Soap Opera #1? There isn’t a video named as such, but these characters show up in my first video “Instant video blogging”.
