Check this out! This is exactly why I don’t lift weights.

So if you’re not sure where “Soap Opera #1″ is, then all you have to do is watch my first video “Instant video blogging”. These characters - Claire and Audrey show up for the first time in that video. So interesting -the comments that have come through on YouTube. I was corrected a number of times by people who say that the camera angles were wrong - since both characters are looking to the right. ooops hahaha I’ve been informed that I’ve violated the 180 degree rule regarding camera placement. Thanks to a YouTube user by the name of BlogCineDom who nicely explained it this way. “If you have two people facing each other (talking) the camera MUST STAY on *one side* of the LINE that extends from person A to person B. He included helpful diagrams so that we can all learn from my mistakes. That silly goof up -plus my tummy growling when I’m drinking the apple juice are extras that you just don’t get watching regular soap operas!!
I should point out that I was spoofing the moments on soap operas when characters get upset about something - and they pour themselves a glass of scotch or some other amber colored spirits. Following that, there always has to be a moment - where the glass crashes because it’s either thrown out of anger (or in my case because I was drugged). Would I really drop the glass on the floor and let apple juice get everywhere? Of course not! That crash you hear is a sound effect. Then I laid down on the floor and kicked my foot up to give the impression as if I really did fall. Editing those scenes together was quite fun.
By the way, I just checked the comments on YouTube again, and people are still debating if the characters are facing the wrong way or not. Since I have never taken a film or video class - I believe the experts that wrote in. But I am curious to hear from you… Did you find the way the characters were facing was distracting? The debate continues haha!
