It’s been a crazy week as I am traveling and have been at my grandmother’s house for the past few days. I’m getting ready to fly to LA for the Future of Film conference where I”m invited to be part of a roundtable discussion.

Now just when the whole ValleyWag thing was discouraging me from participating in online polls - a major press release came out yesterday announcing the 2006 YouTube Video Awards. Guess who is nominated under the “Best Comedy” category?? Yes siree my video “Mixed Nuts” was chosen by YouTube editors and now you the viewers are the academy for what seems to be the Oscars for YouTube.

Your voting fingers have been warmed up, and unlike Valleywag’s unclear rules - the parameters for the YouTube awards are clearly set as they say - “Vote now and vote often. Every hour you can rank your favorites until we freeze voting on March 23, 2007, at 3pm PT. The No.1 videos on each list will get bragging rights and a fancy trophy to feature prominently in a future video.”

You will see that there is a ranking system to move your choice to the top of the list! I knew I would be amiss if I didn’t at least let you know that out of all the videos submitted in the comedy category for 2006 - I am a nominee!
