**EDIT** For now only 26 people are allowed in the chatroom including me. Once I workshop this and figure out how to use it better - I can try to upgrade. For now, it’s hard to keep up with the 25 in there… :-(

Some of you caught me on the nights that I posted a green “Chat” tab on the menu and were able to chat with me for a while. This is a feature which you will see pop up when I am on. I felt this to be a necessary thing since I am hardly able to keep up with all the email, YouTube, and MySpace messages.

At least if you have questions, you can ask me in real time rather than never getting a response by email. Yes, I do read the mail that comes in, and try and answer as much as I can. However, if I spent time answering each one individually, I fear that:
1) I would have no life.
2) I would not be able to make videos :-(

Sometimes I’ll randomly post the green chat tab and will be on at unannounced times. (You might just be surprised one day!! haha) For scheduled chat times, I will post annoucements that will appear just below the navigational tabs. So check back often, as my schedule can change from day to day!

Note that when I leave the chat room, the people that are in there at that time can continue chatting but as soon as they leave the page and refresh the site- the green chat tab will disappear until the next time I’m on. :-)

If you haven’t seen the show “The Bachelor” on ABC - it is really a great unintended comedy, or else a very sad documentary on how TV courtship works. I’ve watched a few shows in horror, much like one rubber necks to see an accident on the road.

I wanted to spoof the show ever since I first saw it, so the ridiculous situations that appear in this spoof, reflects how ridiculous I think the real show is. I intended for Joel and Paige to play their parts normally which would contrast nicely with the insanity of the characters I was playing. Yes, the bachelor’s socks made an intended appearance, same with the cat scrach post which served as the rose pedestal.

Can you believe that a reporter came out to watch me record this spoof on ABC’s show “The Bachelor”? (I’ll let you know the publication when the article comes out.) I was trying to change into the different characters fast cause he was sitting there taking notes. So I’m racing around in that auntie’s wig lookin like a fool. hahaha

You wouldn’t think that a 3 1/2 minute video would take 3 hours to record! We were there til midnight. Lighting is tough guys! Especially when you’re working with such top of the line equipment as the three outdoor flood lights I was using.

Notice the trickling sound in the background? That is from the little fountain that is beside the couch. I was trying to copy the cheesy fountain noise in the TV show - while the bachelor talks to the girls. Thought I’d address what that noise was since a viewer thought that someone was peeing in the background.

Thanks to Joel and Paige for being so hospitable with my last minute video shoot and for being willing participants. We have some golden blooper moments from this one!! :-)

It’s official, the Valleywag contest was hacked.
Read what happened and what they decided to do.

Let’s remember that there are many of Katrin’s fans who did not want to “hack” the Valleywag site in order to get ahead. Let’s all honor the fact that Katrin has a wonderful fan base –and that shows that she does marvelous work! :-)

At the end of it all, I echo what a HappySlip viewer has said - “Win or lose it was an exercise of internet entertainment gone awry.”

Another viewers states “Next time lets not join in any online poll like this since its susceptible to manipulation.” That is EXACTLY how I feel.

I appreciate all of your participation, and a great lesson has been learned.
