About

Why did you start doing these videos?
I’m always looking for a creative outlet and had thought of one day doing a one woman show… As I discovered that people could have their own “channel” on YouTube - I thought “Well, here is a way to have my own show whenever I have the time for it, and the world is the audience!”
What is a Happy Slip?
While growing up, my mom was always quick to remind me to wear a half slip with my skirts. She would say “Your hap eslip!! Be sure to wear your hap eslip!!”. So I grew up thinking - the term was always “happy slip”, until I was corrected by classmates who asked me if I had a sad slip as well.
Why did you choose to use HappySlip as a screen name?
Not only is it a funny phrase from the past… - but it reflects what I’d like people to feel when they watch these videos. Hoping they will “slip into happiness” while watching. Cheerful fun moments to just laugh and enjoy. My dream is that people would have a smile on their face when watching these little productions, and that it would brighten up their day.
What camera do you use and what editing software?
I use a Sony DCR-TRV30 MiniDV camcorder and iMovie HD on my handy dandy 12in Mac Powerbook laptop Final Cut Express on my lovely Macbook Pro.
Are you backed by a production team?
No! I AM my own production team. I do mostly everything for the videos from the scripting, directing, acting, and editing. I occasionally ask a family member to hold the camera for more complex scenes. For music I use GarageBand, use my own instruments, and I’ll also sometimes feature original music from a friend, or else parody someone else’s music.
Cheetos - crunchy or puffy?
Crunchy.
