What it's like to hear for the first time

I have naturally dry eyes. I have to have prescription eyedrops daily or else my eyes will start to uncomfortably dry up. If I go a few months without the drops, I can get to the point that I can't even see the words that I'm typing to you.  Why do I tell you this random piece of info? This morning I didn't reach for my eyedrops like I usually do, because all I had to do is watch this clip! 😭

Here's your dose of happy for the day.

I'm sure some of you may have seen some of these clips before. What a touching compilation of people hearing for the first time. It really makes you realize how we take our hearing for granted! It's wonderfully touching to see how precious it is to these individuals when they can finally hear. What a blessing to cherish someone's voice, beautiful music, a bird's song, or a baby's laughter. Just thinking about how when someone is dying, hearing is the last sense to go... Let's always speak to build one another up even until the end. πŸ˜„β€οΈ

Psalm 143:8
Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
    for in You I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to You I lift up my soul.
